Jamaal Charles to sign a one-day contract to retire as a Chief

Running back Jamaal Charles is set to announce his retirement and sign a one-day contract with the Kansas City Chiefs according to 610 Sports Radio. 

Charles was selected in the third round of the 2008 NFL draft and was a four-time Pro Bowl selection and a two-time first-team All-Pro with Kansas City. 

Charles is the franchise’s all-time leading rushing with 7,260 yards.  He was released from the Chiefs in February of 2017 and played a little for the Denver Broncos and the Jacksonville Jaguars. He finishes his career with 7,563 yards, 56th on the NFL’s all-time rushing list.
