Jayhawks arrive in Wichita for NCAA tournament

The Kansas Jayhawks men’s basketball team arrived in downtown Wichita Tuesday evening following a bus trip from Lawrence and a steak dinner on the way.

The team arrived shortly after 8:30 p.m. at the Ambassador Hotel at Broadway and Douglas with Coach Bill Self leading the team and other coaches off the bus. On the way, they stopped for dinner at a local steak restaurant.

The team will practice Wednesday afternoon at Intrust Arena at 12:30 p.m. The practice is free and open to the public.

The Jayhawks take on Penn in the opening round of the NCAA Midwest Regional in Intrust Arena on Thursday.
