The Wichita State University baseball team hosted its fifth-annual Halloween SCREAMage event Saturday afternoon, Oct. 20, at Eck Stadium.
The Goblins came away with a 4-2 victory over the Ghouls after a late rally in the bottom of the fourth inning.
The referee (Nick Houzenga) led-off the frame with an inside-the-park home run on a ball that rolled all the way to the wall before three other runs came across the plate in the inning to turn a 2-0 Goblin deficit into a 4-2 lead.
The hippie (Paxton Wallace) put the Goblins up early, 1-0, after he smacked an RBI single that scored Bluto (Preston Snavely) from “Animal House.” One of the six Average Joe’s team members (Adam Stephenson, Carson Cox, David VanVooren, Ryan Koval, Reece Koon, Mason Miller) from the movie “Dodgeball” made it 2-0, Ghouls, with a single that plated the doctor (Alex Segal) in the top of the third inning.
