Kansas athletes sign their National Letter of Intent

Some high school athletes who leave it all on the line in their sport signed their National Letter of Intent Wednesday.

Over at Bishop Carroll, tight end Clay Cundiff signed his NLI for the Wisconsin Badgers. Now back in October, the three-star athlete flipped his decision from Kansas to Wisconsin. The senior also made it on the 2019 Shrine Bowl Roster. 

The Campus Colts had six student athletes sign today. Wichita Shockers Baseball picked up catcher Mateo Martinez. Matrinez has a 353 batting avg. 24 singles, four triples and nine doubles. 

Quinton Hicks also signed Wednesday to South Dakota State University. The senior received all-conference honors as both a tight end and a line backer. He had nine sacks, 104 tackles and 29 catches for 431 yards. the all-state athlete will change his position to defensive end with the Jack Rabbits. 

The North West Grizzlies had two stellar athletes sign their NLI Wednesday. When you think of the Grizzlies program, you can not forget about Breece Hall and Marcus Hicks. The two helped take their team to states and finish with a 12-1 record. 

Marcus Hicks, the defensive end, ended his year with 130 tackles and 17 sacks. He was actually offered his the summer of his freshman year. Marcus will attend Oklahoma, home of the Sooners and two-time Heisman winners 

Running Back Breece Hall, an All-American now holds multiple records at Northwest. The running back recorded for 4,515 rushing yards and 68 touch downs.He was selected to play in the football All-American game in San Antonio, Texas in January.
