MANHATTAN, Kan. (KSNW) – K-State head football coach Chris Klieman announced Saturday that sophomore wide receiver Hunter Rison has been suspended indefinitely.

The news release listed a violation of team and departmental policy as the reason for the suspension, but the Manhattan Mercury reported Rison was arrested Friday afternoon on domestic battery charges.

Rison transferred from Michigan State and sat out last season to satisfy NCAA transfer rules. He’s the son of Pro Bowl wideout Andre Rison and was expected to battle for a starting spot on this years squad and certainly has the potential to be an impact player.
