It’s not too often that local boys and girls get the chance to learn from some former Wichita State greats like Xavier McDaniel, Cheese Johnson, and Aubrey Sherrod. It’s even more uncommon when that experience doesn’t cost a penny.
Thanks to generous support from several local sponsors, over 250 kids had the chance to attend the Jeff Hill Future All-American Camp that took place this Monday through Thursday. It’s a camp that focuses on getting better at basketball, but also getting better at life. With speakers like Wichita mayor Jeff Longwell coming to preach the importance of good work in the classroom, these campers get a better understanding of what it takes to be successful as a student-athlete.
