Newton Rebels, Kansas Cannons both winners on Day Six of NBC World Series

A pair of Kansas-based NBC World Series teams got wins on day six of the tournament. The Newton Rebels scored two runs in the first inning to hold off the Colorado Sox 2-0, while the Kansas Cannons pulled away late in their game against GPS Texas Baseball to get the 8-1 win.

With the Cannons victory, they locked up a spot in tomorrow’s play-in game against the Colorado Cyclones at 9:30 p.m.

Chiefs, Browns trade shots before divisional round
