In the first ever title fight in the state of Kansas, hometown hero Nico Hernandez didn’t disappoint.
Hernandez squared off against Szilveszter “The Silent Assassin” Kanalas at the Kansas Star Casino Saturday night.
The fight didn’t last long, as Hernandez knocked Kanalas out with seven seconds left in the first round.
With the win, Hernandez (5-0, 4 KO’s), a 2016 Olympic Bronze medalist is now the IBA Flyweight World title holder.
