Round three or moving day as many player climbed to the top of the leader board today at the Wichita Open. Scott Pickney and Sebastian Cappelen remained the favorites ending on a high note and grabbing one and two, consecutively to end day three.
But it was a big day for Cameron Champ, on hole twelve, Champ chipping for par and makes it to save par. The college station grad wrapped up round three six birdies and an eagle on 14 and manages to ties for fourth to end the day with a score of 65. For Kansas Native Chris Thompson, he sinks a 6-foot putt on hole two but will finish with a 65 and tied for sixth.
One player at the Wichita Open almost ended up packing away his clubs but ended up making the cut. That’s right, according to Bryan Bigley’s twitter, he may or may not have put in an application for Home Depot. The season has gone pretty well for him, making his fifth straight cut with the Wichita Open. For someone who hasn’t had a successful season in the past, this one seems to be his best one yet.
