The Wichita State Shockers continue to play angry, and they look to punch their ticket to the next round of the NIT at Madison Square Garden in New York.
It is Wichita State’s third road game in seven days after two big wins against Furman and Clemson.
The Shockers are 1-1 all time against Indiana, and under Coach Gregg Marshall they bested the Hoosiers back in 2015. Despite the history, the Shocker players say they just want to make the journey to New York.
“Just going to do the best we can, like we been doing, just adjusting, doing the scout reports and then just taking the best of all this experience and keep growing as a group and as an individuals, too,” Jaime Echenqiue, junior forward.
“My guys are enjoying playing. I’m enjoying coaching them. As long as we can continue to do that and win, we’ll play till there are no games left,” said Marshall.
The Shockers tip off at 6 p.m. The game will be on ESPN.
