It was a historical night at Wichita North High School on Thursday.
For the first time in the school’s history, an athletic team played under the lights as the Redskins girls soccer team took on the West Lady Pioneers.
Staff say in the past they have had to cut JV home games short for outdoor sports because there were no lights around the facility.
Curt Wullschleger, the head coach for the North girls soccer team says he is pretty thrilled about the new addition.
“We’ve been very excited about it all season long, So for it to finally be here , very excited about it,” said Wullschleger.
Staff say they have been working since the beginning of this year to get thee lights added for the school.
