We are just 49 days away from the Wichita Thunder opening the 2018-19 ECHL season against the Idaho Steelheads.
Today, the team announced the signing of rookie forward Alex Gillies.
“Alex came highly recommended by people I trust and is an extremely intelligent and versatile player,” commented Head Coach Malcolm Cameron. “He comes from a winning program and has been well coached. We’re excited that he will become a member of our group,” added Cameron.
Gillies played four years for the Michigan Tech Huskies.
He scored 39 points, 17 of which were goals.
