3 WSU basketball players announce they are leaving Shockers

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - We knew the Wichita State Shocker's Men's Basketball team would have a different look coming into next season with this season's six seniors now gone.

Landry Shamet will also be foregoing his final two years of eligibility to head to the pros.

Tuesday, we learned three more players were announcing they are taking their talents elsewhere.

Walk-ons Kaelen Malone and Maize High product Brett Barney both announced they are leaving the team.

Barney took to Twitter to thank WSU and Coach Gregg Marshall for the opportunity to be a part of the team for the past three years.

The biggest surprise though is sophomore CJ Keyser also announced on Twitter his plan to play at another school.

Keyser played in 18 games last year, averaging about seven minutes a game. His season was highlighted by an 11-point game in a Shockers 93 to 85 win over Tulane back in February.
