Wichita State Baseball Defeats Tulane


WICHITA, Kan. –Wichita State dropped Tulane, 9-3, Saturday at Eck Stadium to even the series with the Green Wave.

All Shocker starters recorded a hit against the Green Wave, with Josh Debacker going 1-for-3 with two RBI and a walk. Gunnar Troutwine went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI for the Shockers.

Starter Liam Eddy went seven innings and gave up one run on five hits with one walk and six strikeouts, to collect his sixth win of the season.  

The Shockers took the lead in the third. With one out, Luke Ritter singled and Greyson Jenista‘s hit and run single moved Ritter to third. Alec Bohm followed with a single to score Ritter and Gunnar Troutwine doubled to drive in Jenista and Bohm for a 3-0 lead. With two outs, Mason O’Brien singled to right field to score Troutwine to push the lead to 4-0.
