Wichita State men’s basketball wins first-ever AAC title

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Wichita State men’s basketball wins its’ first-ever American Athletic Conference title following an 80-63 victory against South Florida.

Tyson Etienne led the team with 21 points as Wichita State also extended its winning streak to seven games.  Michael Durr led the Bulls with 18 points and nine rebounds.

The AAC’s preseason poll had the Shockers picked to finish seventh under then-interim head coach Isaac Brown. Brown was elevated to head coach and had the interim tag lifted on February 26.
