KSN visited Wellington, the Wheat Capital of the World, for mid-day shows. We were at Heritage Park on North Washington, by the Chamber of Commerce at 208 N. Washington.

Wellington, known for its annual Wheat Festival, has about 8,000 residents. It grew in significance with the Chisholm Trail, the cattle drive that brought livestock from Texas and Oklahoma through Wellington, into Wichita and on to Abilene, where they were shipped out on the railroad there.
