The Kansas primaries are days away and candidates are continuing to gain support at the polls.
KSN sat down with incumbent Congressman Roger Marshall and challenger Nick Reinecker to get their stance on economy.
When it comes to economy, both candidates had positive things to say.
“This is the most incredible economy I’ve ever seen in my professional lifetime,” said Congressman Marshall. “Kansas has less than three percent employment. We’ve seen a record in wage growth in the past six months, compared to the past 10 years.”
“You’re seeing the GDP grow,” Reinecker said. “You’re seeing actions taken on the border. You’re seeing trade agreements because of the 2016 elections.”
KSN asked Congressman Roger Marshall what his top priority would be if he is reelected.
“Right now, to pass a strong farm bill and continue to work on trade and tariff issues,” Congressman Marshall said. “Immigration is front and center and an infrastructure plan.”
His opponent, Nick Reinecker told KSN his top priority, if elected, would focus on our freedom as Americans.
“My highest priority is defending the constitution and the Declaration of Independence,” he said.
