Mahomes on playing Patriots: ‘They’ve been one of the best for a long time’

The Kansas City Chiefs look to continue to fly high as they put their undefeated record up against the New England Patriots Sunday night.

The Chiefs took their last matchup against the Patriots, winning 42-27 in the season opener last year.

However, head coach Andy Reid knows that playing the Bill Belichick led squad, especially in Foxboro is no easy task.

“Bill is phenomenal in the job that he does, especially to be able to sustain it for as many years as he has, and they’ve got a heck of football team, quarterback is not too bad either, he is a good player, so, all in all it is a great organization, should be a great atmosphere for a football game,” said Reid.

It’s a sentiment that was echoed by Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

“Coach Reid says it, when you play in this league, you want to play against the best and they’ve been one of the best for a long time, and so it is an awesome opportunity to get to go up against them and see what we can do against them,” said Mahomes.

The game is set to kickoff at 7:20 p.m.
