The clouds are starting to break and the skies are starting to clear a little. The snow will push east and be out of our area by tonight. Behind this system, we will be stuck with cold temperatures.
Tonight, lows fall into the teens and 20’s across the state. Temperatures will keep falling as the skies start to clear. Factor in the winds, it will feel like the single digits in NW Kansas and feel like the teens here in Wichita.
Tomorrow, we do warm a little but still cool. Highs get back into the 50’s for most of the state. The winds will still be out of the north, so it will still feel cold through the day and night. Winds will be calmer than they were the past few days.
Come Monday, the winds will shift out of the south. This will bring spring like temperatures with lots of sun around. Not only will it be warmer, there will be lots sun across the state.
Through the rest of the day/night. NC Kansas will still be battling strong winds and some light snow. This has caused a winter storm advisory until 7 this evening.
Looking ahead – Warm weather settles in across the state start Monday and will carry into Thursday. Friday and Saturday looks to be interesting. It looks like a strong storm system could bring some thunderstorms across the state. This is still far out, but it is something we are watching.
