After winter’s rude return yesterday, we are headed back to spring in a matter of days. The warmth brings a concern for fire danger.
Staying sunny and cool today with highs in the 50s with less wind.
There is a small chance folks in southwest Kansas could see a random shower or flurry first thing Tuesday morning. If this does come to fruition, amounts won’t add up to much. Nonetheless, a welcome sight.
Then comes the heat. Significant warming expected to get underway with highs in the 70s and 80s. We’re not talking record warmth but it will be something to keep an eye on. This comes along with stronger winds and will aid in fire danger, especially Wednesday and Thursday. Stay tuned for fire weather alerts to follow in the coming days.
Still no significant changes in our weather pattern to help alleviate the ongoing drought.
