Laura’s Look: Dangerous heat for Friday

The summer heat builds for Friday. High temperatures quickly climb through the middle and upper 90s. Some 100s in western Kansas. Stronger winds return with the heat as gusts top 30 mph.

Higher humidity will make it feel miserable. Heat indices in the 100 to 105 degree range. A Heat Advisory goes into effect this afternoon. This includes Wichita.

Cooling off this weekend with sun filled skies and less humidity. The wind eases on Sunday.
