Folks in northwest Kansas are waking up to the sweet sound of rain. This is the first wave that moves southeast across the state today. Some embedded thunder can be expected at times. Look for cooler high temperatures in the 40s where there’s rain. Warmer elsewhere in the 60s/70s.
Rain becomes more widespread late in the day. This is when Wichita has the best bet for wet weather.
By early Wednesday morning, rain winds down in western Kansas with scattered showers farther to the east.
It’ll take some time for this activity to wind down. Rain chances stick around through the day for central and eastern Kansas.
