Sweet heat relief is on the way. In the meantime, another sweltering day for central Kansas with evening storm chances.

A cold front is on the move, this will prompt for cooler temps in western Kansas. Elsewhere, the heat is on with highs in the upper 90s. Factor in the humidity, feeling more like the lower 100s!

Evening storms are possible for central Kansas. Chief threats are large hail and damaging wind. Isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. Make sure you’re connected to us through our KSN Storm Tracker 3 Everywhere App. It will send you messages to let you know of lightning in your area. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!

For tonight, any storms come to an end. Clouds clear out as lows fall to the 60s.

Another round of storms on tap for Tuesday night. Same deal here, some of those could be on the stronger side with hail and wind as the primary threats. Unsettled skies continue through at least mid-week before sunshine takes over.
