Another April morning with wintry weather on the radar. Temperatures are playing a key in role in who gets what. So far, a cold rain in around the Metro with pockets of freezing rain. Amounts are on the light side but be mindful that bridges and overpasses may be slick.
A bulk of the precipitation will be outside of Kansas by early afternoon. The last wave of moisture moves through by dinner time. It’ll be warm enough to where we won’t have to worry about wintry weather.
If you’re not seeing rain in your area, it’ll be pleasantly cool in the 50s and 60s.
You’ll want to wait one more day before washing your car. Another ripple of precipitation comes dashing in on Monday. Light amounts overall but we’ll take this last drink of water before drying out. The heat gets cranked up this week. You know what that means…. fire danger.
Just like that, from winter to summer in a matter of days. Strong southerly winds raises concern for fire weather. This is especially so on Wednesday and Thursday.
