On Ronelle’s Radar: Another scorcher and spotty storms

Weather Blog

Overnight storms have moved out and the first half of Friday will be pretty dry. Just humid and heating up quickly under a mostly to partly sunny sky. Temperatures warm from the 70s to the low to middle 90s between sunrise and lunchtime. Highs will be around the upper 90s with heat indices between 105-108.

All of this equates to everyone needing to take it easy again today. A Heat Advisory for southernmost counties in Kansas will be in effect from 1pm to 8pm. There’s a slight chance for some storms to develop in Western Kansas during the afternoon and evening.

A few strong to severe storms could bring damaging winds and large hail. Any storms that develop could move into SouthCentral Kansas late in the afternoon and evening.

Once Saturday arrives it’ll be a mainly dry day and not as hot but temperatures will still be in the 90s.
