On Ronelle’s Radar: Chilly start, mild finish Wednesday

Weather Blog

Tuesday’s cold front has definitely left its mark and you’ll feel it when you step out the door this morning. Wednesday morning temperatures will range from the low 50s to 40s and all the way down into the 30s! Portions of Northwest Kansas could wake up to some frost.

Many of us will need long sleeves to get through the early morning hours. With the exception of a few spotty showers in Southwest Kansas and along the the KS/OK line during the morning, Wednesday will be pretty dry with a mix of clouds and sunshine.

Winds will be much lighter and switch from the north to a more southeasterly direction through the day. High temperatures will be mild in the upper 60s to low 70s.

Skies clear out late in the evening and overnight, helping temperatures fall back down into the 40s. Be ready for another morning that’s worthy of long sleeves early Thursday.

High temperatures warm slightly but another surge of cool air will knock us back down into the 60s to low 70s Friday. An increase in clouds will bring a slim rain chance as we kick off the weekend and early Saturday.

We’ll also see a significant warm up over the weekend, going from 70s to 80s by Sunday. Warmer temperatures continue through the middle of next week before another cool down next Thursday and Friday.
