On Ronelle’s Radar: Clouds, seasonable conditions dominate Monday

Weather Blog

Portions of Western Kansas are waking up to some wet weather this morning. Most rain showers will be confined to this part of the state through this morning. The rest of the state will be dry with a cool start in the 30s and 40s.

Expect more clouds than sun today as sky conditions will be mostly cloudy. It won’t be as warm as Sunday with most highs only warming into the 50s but they’ll still be close to normal for this time of year. The cooler temperatures today will also be due to northerly winds but those will be light.

Late in the afternoon and into the evening there’s a chance of some developing rain showers in Northwestern Kansas. These shouldn’t last into the overnight.

Partly cloudy skies tonight will turn into more sun Tuesday. Temperatures will be warmer too. Thanks to stronger south winds, highs warm back up into the 60s. It turns even warmer Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the 70s and possibly even 80s in portions of Western Kansas.

At the same time this is when rain chances will return with the better chances being Thursday and Friday.

There could be some thunder on Friday and then we’ll start to dry back out into the weekend. Saturday and Sunday will be cooler but it’s looking like a decent weekend is ahead so far.
