This morning’s rain chance will be in South Central and Southeastern Kansas. Showers will be light and scattered, enough to slow down the morning commute a bit and turn windshield wipers on.
After sunrise chances will start to drop as showers gradually slide east. Skies will clear in Western Kansas through the morning while Central Kansas still deals with mostly cloudy conditions.
Some leftover raindrops in Southeastern Kansas are possible all the way into the lunch hour but it will be much drier early in the afternoon. Some sunshine in Central Kansas will follow.
Despite a few early showers, highs will still be warm in the upper 60s to 70s.
Skies will continue to clear through the evening as lows dip into the 40s.
Winds switch out of the north by Saturday to bring highs down by a few degrees but it will still be sunny and mild with highs in the 60s. Quiet and mild conditions continue into next week with rain chances returning by Wednesday.
