On Ronelle’s Radar: Flood Risk Continues

Weather Blog

Everyone will wake up to another damp morning across the area with rain around. Some showers will be heavy at times, slowing down the morning commute.

While severe weather isn’t expected don’t be surprised if you hear the occasional rumble of thunder. The chance of spotty showers and storms will continue into the afternoon and evening.

It won’t be raining all the time but it will be enough to keep area Flash Flood Watches and Flood Warnings in effect so localized flooding is still a possibility. There’s a greater chance for another inch or two of rain across portions of Central and Eastern Kansas.

There won’t be any issues with temperatures as they’ll mainly be in the upper 70s, staying below normal for this time of year.

On and off showers and storms continue Thursday but late Thursday and Friday, the region will start to see some showers from the remnants of a tropical system.

The heaviest rain looks to mainly affect South Missouri and Southeast Kansas. There’s a silver lining coming where we’ll start to trend drier towards the end of the weekend.
