Early morning showers in Western Kansas should wrap up by daybreak. Friday starts dry for many of us but also warm and humid in the 70s.
Mostly to partly sunny skies and a breezy south wind will heat temperatures into the middle and upper 90s once again. A Heat Advisory for NorthCentral and SouthCentral Kansas will be in effect until 8pm Friday.
In the heat of the afternoon, there’s a chance for a few storms to develop in Western and NorthCentral Kansas. Those areas will need to be weather aware as there’s a low-end risk of severe weather, damaging winds and heavy rain are the main concerns.
An isolated storm or two will be possible in SouthCentral Kansas closer to late afternoon, evening, and during the overnight.
A slim storm chance will carry into Saturday but won’t help cool us down as temperatures will still be in the 90s, but the cool down is coming in a few more days.
