On Ronelle’s Radar: Heating back up

Weather Blog

Wednesday will be another nice day, just slightly warmer. And rightfully so since it’s the first day of August. Expect a clear and refreshingly cool morning with temperatures starting off in the 50s and 60s with light winds.

Mostly sunny skies and a wind switch out of the south will warm high temperatures into the low 90s but the humidity won’t be all that bad. A few fair weather clouds will develop in the warmth of the afternoon but things will stay mainly dry.

There’s a slim chance of an isolated shower or storm in western Kansas late in the afternoon and evening. Should a stronger storm develop, it could produce some gusty winds and hail.

That slim chance will continue into the late evening but it’ll turn quiet again by the time we get to Thursday morning. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies tomorrow with the heat still bearable as highs stay in the low 90s. There will also be another slim chance of a couple of showers or storms in western Kansas late in the day.

Spotty storm chances for western Kansas continue into the weekend and everyone will keep heating up into the middle 90s.
