Cool, quiet, and clear to start your Tuesday. Morning temperatures will be in the 60s, 50s, and even 40s in far Northwest Kansas.
Low humidity in addition to the cooler temperatures will give the air a refreshing feel. There’s a slight chance of a passing shower across northern Kansas between mid to late morning but skies will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy through much of the day.
Winds will be a lot lighter and mainly out of the north to help keep high temperatures below normal in the low 80s.
There’s a chance of storms in Southwest Kansas after 5pm and they look more likely after sunset.
Some storms could be severe with damaging winds and large hail. After midnight, showers and thunderstorms will spread through Western Kansas and reach Central Kansas by early Wednesday morning.
This will lead to a cool, damp day as highs across Kansas fall into the 70s. Rain and thunderstorm chances continue into Thursday before we dry out and heat back up into the 90s.
