While rainy leftovers will linger through Thursday, severe weather isn’t expected. Skies will be mostly cloudy all day with periods of on again off again showers. A few rumbles of thunder are possible too.
Temperatures start the day in the 60s and 70s, as they have for the past few mornings. But you’ll really notice the cooldown during the afternoon when highs only reach the low to middle 80s!
Late in the afternoon scattered showers should really start to wind down and most of the area should trend drier. The evening looks much drier as well but a few showers or storms still can’t be ruled out, especially in Western Kansas.
A chance of rain will carry into Friday with partly to mostly cloudy skies but a slightly better chance of thundershowers will once again be in Western Kansas. Highs to start the weekend will be comfortable in the low to middle 80s.
Friday night into Saturday will hold our next chance of severe weather. Damaging winds, large hail, and localized flooding are possible.
