Spotty storms, some strong to severe will be possible all the way through late morning. Hazards for any stronger storms include damaging gusts and quarter to half dollar size hail.
Conditions improve by midday with more cloud breaks and a lower chance of rain. Winds pick up a bit more today out of the south, turning breezy again. A breezy south wind and some sun early in the afternoon will be enough to give us warmer temperatures in the upper 80s to low 90s.
After 3pm or 4pm, rain/t-storm chances start to go back up. Especially in Central and Eastern Kansas where there could be a stronger storm with gusty winds and hail.
Any storms around will wind down during the evening and much of Thursday night should be pretty dry. We’ll get more sunshine on Friday and a windier day with south winds will send temperatures into the middle 90s. Storm chances return to Western Kansas late in the day and then spread into Central Kansas during the evening.
Storm chances stick around during the holiday weekend but will help cool us back down into the 80s.
