It’s been another very active day across the KSN viewing area! Storms dropped 2″ diameter hail near Burdett, winds were measured to 60 mph at the Ellsworth Airport and torrential rain of 3″ or more was measured in Clearwater and Derby.
A Severe T-storm Watch is in effect for parts of central and north central Kansas until 11 p.m. Sunday.
Showers and storms will still be around Sunday evening with more on the way for Monday, developing especially in the afternoon. Heavy rain and lightning will be our biggest concerns, so keep that in mind if you are outdoors.
Your Labor Day high temperatures will be in the 70s and 80s, with a southeast wind.
The rain chances will continue in Wichita off and on for much of the week as a slow moving weather system will not be in any big hurry to move out. Highs will stay in the 80s with parts of Kansas not getting out of the 70s!
