This evening, there is still a chance for a isolated shower or storm. Any activity that blossoms will favor areas near the Turnpike.
Temperatures have turned to the toasty side. Highs today reached into the 90s in most spots.
This weekend, it will be just as hot and humid.
Storms Saturday evening will develop in western Kansas and track into the north central part of the state – literally dancing around Wichita.
Another batch of storms will form out west Sunday evening.
Next week, temperatures will take a brief dip by Wednesday but then August’s heat will return by week’s end. As for rain chances, they continue to look spotty with most areas expected to stay dry.
