Teachman’s Take: Friday Evening Storms, Unsettled Next Week

Weather Blog

The atmosphere is at it again!  Spotty showers and thunderstorms have ignited across the southern half of the state down into Oklahoma.  Most of these storms should stay below severe thresholds.  However, a storm or two could get stronger with damaging winds to 60 MPH and quarter size hail.

We will see the trend for storms drop by sunset.

Skies will clear overnight.  In some parts of the state, the temperature will drop into the 50s!

Looking ahead to the weekend…Saturday will be dry but Sunday will open the door to more unsettled conditions next week.

Saturday will be hot and slightly humid with light winds.

Sunday evening, spotty storms will return to the southern half of the state.

Next week, we will see more clouds than sun early on with the addition of rain.  This will keep our temperatures down for most of the week in the 80s.
