It feels like a furnace outside! Right now in Wichita we have a heat index of 104°!

And the winds this afternoon have been gusting in spots above 40 MPH!

An isolated storm is possible this evening and through the overnight, although most places will stay dry.

The winds right now are a sign that something is brewing and that’s our next storm system.  This will trigger a line of showers and storms — some could be strong to severe — by late Tuesday afternoon and through the evening.

I’ll have an hour-by-hour look at these storms and what this means for the rest of the work week.  Plus, we’ll look ahead to more chances for storms for the holiday weekend on KSN News at 5, 6 and 10.
