Under sun-filled skies, it’s been a beauty of a day with warm temperatures.
But, this is nothing compared to the heat that will build in for Friday.
A Heat Advisory is in effect from 1 to 7 PM Friday.
Heat indices will easily be over 100 and could approach 110! Please take it easy and drink plenty of water. And don’t forget about your furry friends. Keep them cool, too!
Over the weekend, temps will stay toasty on Saturday but drop by Sunday.
Temps will remain in the 80s into part of next week. There is a chance for showers and storms on Monday which will keep temps down.
After this stormy round moves out, temps will slowly climb back into the 90s late next week. Join me tonight on KSN News for a look at how hot temps will get for the kickoff of the Wichita Riverfest and where storms will track Friday night. – Chief Meteorologist Lisa Teachman
