Teachman’s Take: Major Winter Storm – Blizzard Warnings Posted

Weather Blog

An intensifying storm system will track into Kansas on Saturday bringing rain, thunder with a changeover to heavy snow.  Blizzard conditions are possible in western and northcentral Kansas with whiteout conditions.  Power outages are a possibility.

Showers will track to the northeast this evening.  This isn’t the main show.  That arrives into western Kansas after midnight.  I could see a thin stripe of 6″ – 8″ with locally higher amounts of snow falling in parts of Kansas.  We will have the latest track and updated snowfall totals for you tonight on KSN News at 5, 6 and 10.
