Showers in northern Kansas will fall apart this evening while storms will approach SW KS and the Oklahoma Panhandle. One or two of these storms could be on the strong side with damaging winds and hail.
After dark, the severity of these storms will drop. Widespread showers and thunderstorms will spread east throughout the state overnight and Wednesday.
There will be another batch of stronger storms served up Wednesday evening in SW KS.
And Thursday, the focus will be in the central part of the state where a storm or two could contain gusty winds and hail.
Rainfall amounts will generally be in the neighborhood of a quarter to three-quarters of an inch. There will be some isolated spots where 2″ could fall underneath the strongest storms.
Temperatures tomorrow will hover in the 70s due to clouds and off/on rain.
The heat will build back by Friday with highs soaring into the 90s. Over the weekend, while northern Kansas may see a brief shower or storm Saturday night into Sunday morning, hot and humid conditions will be front and center.
