Mild today, warmer tomorrow, cooler Friday with more summer-like temperatures over the weekend?  Yep!  Sounds like fall in Kansas.  We will have quite a few changes over the coming days as another cold front tracks south by week’s end.

This morning started off chilly in the 30s, 40s and 50s.

Overnight, it will get cooler in Wichita as winds stay light and skies range from mostly clear to partly cloudy.

Thanks to more sunshine and winds from the south/southwest on Thursday, we will get a bit of a boost with our highs in the afternoon.

It won’t last long because another front sags south by Friday, effectively dropping our highs in the 50s and 60s.

There will also be some sprinkles and light rain showers passing through.  Amounts look light if you do happen to pick up a shower at your house.

This front surges to the north over the weekend, bringing back the 80s and potentially the lower 90s early next week in parts of the state.

We will stay on the warmer side through much of next week until that front drops south by Wednesday night and Thursday.  Model guidance still points to this being a better shot for moisture over the next 7 to 10 days.  It will also knock our temperatures down to more fall-like standards again.
