Teachman’s Take: Warmer Saturday, Cooler Sunday

Weather Blog

The clouds are long-gone and temperatures today have felt wonderful!

Temperatures will cool after sundown, so grab a jacket or a blanket to support your favorite high school football team as playoffs are now underway.

Overnight, we will drop to the 40s across the state.  Skies will stay clear and the winds will lighten up.

Saturday will be one of the best days of fall!  Highs will warm even more.  Widespread 70s are likely with a few places briefly hitting the 80s during the heat of the afternoon.

A system works through on Sunday.  It will come through dry, but set our temperatures back in the 60s.  It will still be a beautiful day if you can handle a little more wind.

Next week, unsettled skies are on tap for Tuesday/Wednesday.  Model guidance is not in agreement as to the timing of moisture and how quickly the cooler air arrives.  I would prepare for some rain around the region and cool, fallish temperatures for trick-or-treating.

And continue to check back with us over the weekend and early next week.  As we get closer, we will be able to get a better handle on how this system will play out for us.
