Teachman’s Take: Warmth Return With Storms

Weather Blog

It has been a beautiful day!  Temperatures this afternoon topped out in the 70s and 80s — this can’t be beat for late August.

Too bad it won’t stay this way for much longer.  A warm front will lift to the north overnight.

This will spark a few showers and thunderstorms, mainly after midnight.

This rain will linger into early Thursday morning.  We’ll get a midday break before another round of storms early Thursday evening.

Temperatures also turn warmer.

This Friday, temps will return to the 90s.  That evening, a few storms will develop in western Kansas.

Over the holiday weekend, it still doesn’t look like a washout.  Our best chances for rain will be from the evening through the overnight hours.

Monday right now looks mostly dry.  Temperatures will be affected by these rounds of rain and cloud cover – highs will be kept lower in the 80s.
