Our rainfall totals over the past 24 hours show southcentral Kansas has seen around an inch of rain, with isolated amounts even up to 2"! This will definitely help a bit with our drought situation...
Wichita in particular saw 1.16" of rain yesterday, breaking the record rainfall for that date. It's also the most rainfall we've seen in one day since the beginning of October, nearly doubling our rainfall for the year to date!
And the rain is still falling! Most of it has exited east, but spotty showers are lingering in the Wichita Metro this morning. Radar: http://www.ksn.com/weather/radar
We'll keep a small chance for some sprinkles in mainly our southeastern counties for the rest of the day, but otherwise we'll just see plenty of clouds, breezy winds, and cool temperatures.
Temperatures will recover into the 60s for the rest of the week, with some more small chances for showers on Tuesday and Thursday.
Stay tuned this week for updates on these rain chances!
