This morning’s rain is diminishing and exiting to the east, so we are expected to stay dry for the rest of the day.
We received a good amount of rain with the storms overnight, too. Areas of southern Kansas, including Wichita, saw around an inch of rainfall.
And this rain is still greatly needed, as drought conditions persist across mainly central and southern Kansas, though we are continuing ot see slight improvements.
So for today, we will stay quiet with plenty of sunshine, light winds, hot temperatures, and humid conditions.
The humidity will really soar tomorrow, though. We’re looking at dangerous heat index values into the low 100s. Make sure you’re staying hydrated if you’re headed out to Riverfest or doing anything outdoors!
I’ll let you know what this means for your weekend weather, coming up on KSN News at Noon.
