Spotty showers have been rolling through the Wichita Metro during lunchtime. Track them on radar right here: http://www.ksn.com/weather/radar
More storms are expected to develop this afternoon and evening, mainly east of Wichita and also in northwest Kansas, which will then move southeastward into the night. Otherwise, we’ll keep with scattered clouds, breezy winds, muggy conditions, and very warm temperatures again today.
A Slight Risk for severe weather in yellow is in place for northwest Kansas this afternoon and evening. Large hail and damaging winds will be possible with any storms that develop, so stay tuned.
We’ll keep a small chance for storms tomorrow too, but much of the holiday weekend is just looking dry and hot! Get that sunscreen ready!
I’ll have more details on today’s storms and our weekend forecast, coming up on KSN News at Noon.
