Scattered storms have been ongoing across the state this afternoon. Generally non-severe, but a few strong storms did produce some quick wind damage in areas like Lindsborg, where some downed trees and power lines were reported around 3 PM. Minor flooding and gusty winds will continue to be the main concerns this evening, with storms likely affecting the Wichita Metro, too. Radar: https://www.ksn.com/weather/radar
Storms should generally weaken overnight, but we’ll keep a small chance going, especially early in the night. Otherwise, muggy in the 60s and 70s with light winds and partly cloudy skies.
Then for tomorrow, we’re expecting even more storms to pop up in the heat of the day, with a similar low-end severe weather risk. It will also be hot, humid, with partly cloudy skies and light winds.
These storm chances actually pick up a little bit more on Tuesday, too. Storms will then slowly exit eastward as we head into Wednesday.
Temperatures will take a slight dip due to these storms, but overall the heat will continue on through the week.
