Spotty showers and non-severe storms have been ongoing across northern and western Kansas this morning. Track them on radar right here: https://www.ksn.com/weather/radar
We’re expecting these storms to become more numerous in these areas as we head through the afternoon and evening, though.
Wichita will likely stay dry today, so otherwise it will just be hot and humid again with the heat index climbing into the low 100s, so take it easy out there!
The storms will continue overnight, though, expected to move through Wichita late tonight into early tomorrow morning.
But thankfully we aren’t expecting any severe weather with these storms. Just some heavy rain, occasional lightning, and gusty winds. And they will be isolated in nature, too, so not everyone will get to see the rain.
And the summertime forecast continues through next week, with hot temperatures and spotty storm chances just about every day!
