The heat and humidity are brutal again this evening, making it feel like it’s nearly 100°!
So stay hydrated if you’re headed to Riverfest, as we’ll stay quiet, but very warm and muggy.
It’s a different story in western Kansas, though, were storms are expected to develop this evening, eventually developing into a complex that will track southeastward into the night.
A *Severe Thunderstorm Watch* is in place for northwestern counties from now through 2 AM, where large hail and damaging winds will be the main concerns. The severe threat will diminish as these storms move eastward overnight, though.
We’re keeping a chance for morning storms in central Kansas, with a small chance for a few isolated afternoon storms, too. But chances will decrease tomorrow, so it will still just mainly be hot and humid.
I’ll time these storms out for you tonight on KSN News at 5, 6, and 10!
